Bandit

I was making breakfast for my Daisy and Bandit and I looked up and saw Bandit looking at me, like fix what you want, I may or may not eat it. And next to me was Daisy jumping around the kitchen so excited about eating. Bandit is his own little man.

My fall porch

It is not quite finished. I need to add some leaf garlands around the chair and the bench and get my fall door mat out. I am so ready for fall.

Getting ready for fall

My daughter bought these little glitter pumpkins at the dollar tree and gave them to me yesterday. I have lots of places that I can place these little pumpkins through out my home so I got up early and cleaned the dollar tree out of the 26 they had left. I know greedy as charged.

Losing someone you love

The past few weeks have been difficult. I lost my husband to cancer on April 8Th. You think you are prepared but of course you never are. He was a good father and my children would have made him proud with the beautiful eulogies they spoke at his service. I still have not gone through his clothes, it is just too hard. But thankfully I have family and friends that have been very supportive. I plan on visiting my sister next week in Missouri for a 3 week stay. I hope you can stand me that long. We spoke about our travels towards the end. All the cruises we have been on and trips to Europe and how lucky and blessed we did our traveling in our 40's and 50's and a couple trips in our 60's, and how good it was that we did it then instead of waiting for retirement. I have those happy memories that will hold me my lifetime. Here is a picture of him when we were in Arizona visiting our youngest son Greg.

Valentine decor in the dining nook

I used the red charger plates from Christmas. And my white plates. I think I might add the white bowls to the plates and fill them with red candy hearts. I scored the vintage looking cloche a couple years ago and I usually only have a candle in it. Now I use it more with plants or small objects. This the view of the table. This is the close up of the cloche
